This is a
n unusual antique doll with turned wood arms and body, and her original red dress. She wears a traditional folk costume of thick red cotton, with pantaloons underneath. I would guess she is from the 1800s, though I am not sure. I thought it could be German, but someone suggested it may be Czech. A measuring stick is shown in the photos for size. She is approximately 2 1/2'' tall. One leg has a foot and the other doesn't ~ it looks like it was made that way. There is a tiny chip in the wood on the back of the footless leg, but it is painted black, just like the other one, and does not look like it broke. Please see photos carefully for condition, as she has antique wear. This listing is for the girl doll, and does not include other items. Shipping includes insurance.
