Early Vintage Unique Spin-Flyte SILENT Spinning Reel, circa late 40's. Germany

Here is one of the early spinning reels. It was made in post-war Germany during the late 1940’s. It’s a
Spin Flyte
Silent.
This heavy-duty reel is made from aluminum, has a plastic spool, a steel handle, and a brass pickup arm. It features a unique pickup arm, which also serves to provide an anti-reverse stop when the arm is depressed over a rotor tab when ready to cast, front reel adjustable drag, worm gear drive, and a black plastic handle knob that turns freely.
Its gear ratio is 2.75:1, and it weighs 15.5 oz. I’m estimating that line capacity is 200 Yds. of 20 lb. test monofilament.
Please note that the reel has had a major and unique repair. A previous owner fashioned a new reel foot out of steel, molded and fastened it to the frame. That took some doing!
Aside from the unique reel foot repair, there are a few other issues. First, the pickup arm is not working properly because the spring tabs have not been seated correctly. However, the spring is intact and should work. However, my eyesight and finger dexterity prevent me from replacing the spring as it should. Second, the handle knob at one time was able to be turned in, but the handle shaft has corroded preventing that from happening.
Otherwise, the reel is clean and does operate. Makes for a nice collectible and/or a great man-cave display.
