This is an issue of the East Village Other underground newspaper from January1969 . EVO was one of the best known counterculture newspapers , , and published regularly for years..It covered many concerns of the day, the various liberation and cultural movements that were happening in NYC at the time. It featured a lot of commentary and opinion. It was/ is also well known for pulishing underground artists and comix featuring some of the best of both. Also coverage of film, the arts, books, letters, classified and more.

The condition of this and the other issues I am listing is excellent. – light paper age, no holes, no folds other than the centerfold (as issued)..no fraying. The are a couple of pages that have clean half inch tears,  not easily noticed. One would be very hard pressed to find better condition than this. Tight..Looks like they were put away in 1968-69, maybe unread. For 50 year old  newsprint , pretty amazing.
