Late 1930s/1940s St. Louis Browns Team-Issued Pro Model Jacket

For a variety of reasons, baseball's Browns are vastly underrepresented in extant collectibles relative to other teams of the day, which makes this top-quality jacket all the more special. In fact, we daresay it's one of the more impressive Browns items we've come across in any collecting sector!
Consisting of a wool body, suede sleeves, striped cuffs and collar, two pockets and a heavy-gauge zipper, the classic garment showcases a fabulous embroidered sleeve patch (4x7) with the horse rider atop the patriotic flag emblem centered by the Browns logo ball (a horizontal slice in the felt at bottom). The thick, high-pile "SL" insignia on the left breast measures an even larger 5-1/2" x 7". There is scattered toning/soiling and occasional small holes/slices. All things considered, it's in a solid state of preservation after three-quarters of a century and condition is practically a moot point with a survivor of this extreme rarity.
