Diego Castillo wore this jersey for both home games against the Houston Astros in the 2019 American League Division Series. On October 7, 2019, the Tampa Bay Rays came home in the ALDS down two games to none. Charlie Morton was on the mound for the Rays, while Zack Greinke started for the Astros. Castillo WORE THIS JERSEY FOR GAME 3 OF THE ALDS! The Rays won 10-3 behind hits by Matt Duffy, Austin Meadows, Tommy Pham, Ji-Man Choi, Avisail Garcia, Brandon Lowe, Kevin Kiermaier, and Willy Adames. The next night, CASTILLO STARTED GAME 4 OF THE ALDS WEARING THIS JERSEY!! Castillo gave up a hit to George Springer to start the game. Then, he struck out the side, with Michael Brantley looking and Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman swinging. In the second inning, Castillo coaxed Yordan Alvarez into a pop fly to Joey Wendle. He then walked Yuli Gurriel and got Carlos Correa to also pop out to Wendle, before giving way to Ryan Yarbrough, who got Josh Reddick out to end the inning. The Rays went on to win 4-1, forcing a Game 5 back in Houston, which they lost. This jersey is MLB Authenticated as being worn by Castillo for BOTH GAME 3 AND GAME 4 OF THE ALDS. It is home white with “Rays” across the chest. The left sleeve has a patch of a devil ray. The right sleeve has a 2019 Postseason patch and a VJN patch, honoring Vincent Joseph Naimoli, the original owner of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, who died on August 25, 2019. The back has Castillo’s name and number (#63). The jersey is size 48. Thank you for purchasing!!
