    Description

Hello, this is my Nike Sox Jersey.....Red...not White...Boston...not Chicago...... It was issued to An Unconfirmed player named Nunez. What I do know is that it wasn't Eduardo...because this was a 2020 Spring Training Jersey.
So...I am taking a guess here, but I believe it was likely Jhon Nunez, a catcher in the Red Sox system who was traded to the Detroit Tigers at the start of 2020 Spring Training. Educated guess, but still a guess. If it is indeed Jhon, which I have to believe it is, he is now with the Miami Marlins after playing Winter League for the Toros Del Este. Ironically, he signed with Miami today as I am writing this and was assigned to AA Pensacola.
The jersey is MLB Authenticated with the official MLB Hologram and is a Size 46. Quick Note on "Team Issued" jerseys as opposed to "game Used" jerseys. Because of Covid and Spring Training 2020, almost all Spring Jerseys are listed as "Team Issued" because of Covid protocols. A lot of jerseys were likely game jerseys, but because of protocol had to wait to be authenticated before being sold. So unlike previous years, they were stored. I know, long story, but the point is could have been used in a game, maybe, maybe not, but it was issued and worn by the player at some point.
I bought a few of these directly from MLB and the Sox, and am keeping a few and putting a few others up. I saved one for me and a few for friends, what I like about these is that they are the new MLB Nike jerseys...which fit a lot better than the old Majestic ones. Could just be my preference, but I have noticed a difference myself. Anyway, I will throw in the original MLB description below, but this is pretty straight forward. It's a 2020 Boston Red Sox Nike Navy Alternate Road Jersey that has been authenticated by MLB and the Sox with the MLB Hologram.
ITEM DESCRIPTION Purchase this Nunez #71 team issued Nike red Spring Training jersey. This jersey is size 46. This item is authenticated under the auspices of the MLB Authentication Program.
ABOUT JHON NUNEZ (Per SoxProspects.com) Has some intriguing tools for a catcher with unique athleticism for the position, plus arm strength and decent contact skills. Very athletic for a catcher. Moves well behind the plate; gets down quickly to block balls in the dirt. Has shown good receiving skills. Can lose fundamentals at times, especially with runners on base. Potential to be a average-to-better defender. Profiles as upper minors depth with opportunity to develop into an up-and-down emergency catcher.
FROM BOSOX INJECTION (After he was traded to Tigers) "Just for reference, Nunez is a 25-year-old switch-hitter who slashed .280/.333/.412 in Double-A last year. He is athletic for the position, plays good defense and has a lot of potential offensively. Is Nunez perfect? No. He’s a strong prospect though. In 1,075 at-bats he has just 192 strikeouts. Nunez also has 41 career steals. There are a lot of unique things to like about him."
Anyway, that is about it, any questions just fire away

Note about Me and Anything I am selling: I'm a fan and a collector, not a seller, and if I am selling a collectible, it's likely one of three reasons.
    1. I bought something I wanted but it was part of a group that included other items, so I'm selling the others that came with the one I wanted.
    2. I bought a "Mystery Box" hoping for one thing but got something else, whether it be an item or player. And so I'm hoping to find a good home for that item who will appreciate it more than me.
    3. I bought something new, probably a jersey, and so I'm selling an old one so my closet doesn't overflow or to justify the cost.
With this in mind, ALL of my items always have a Submit Offer Option, which I encourage fans to use. However, if you do send an offer, please let me know WHY you want it, otherwise I am generally likely to decline that offer.
