Rod Carew Vintage Autographed 1980 MLB California Angels Game Jersey by Wilson
Rod Carew once owned this amazing 1980 California Angels jersey with the State patch up on the shoulder and his number 29 on the chest and again on the back. White knit pullover by Wilson with their tag on the lower front in size 42 with an embroidered "80" year tag close by. The shirt shows some light staining with signs of wear and washing and the numbers and cresting are slightly puckered from washing. Rod has added a nice autograph on the front with the added "best Wishes" salutation. A perfect and very vintage display piece from this member of the Hall of Fame and the 3000 hit club.
This jersey was obtained from the estate of a decades-long collector who routinely corresponded with athletes from all sports back in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. He would write requesting autographs and memorabilia and amassed a large collection of game-worn items obtained directly from players and executives. This signed jersey was sent to him directly by Rod Carew in the 1980s. Although it appears to be a game uniform obtained from the Angels, I am
not
