If your opener is 100% functional right now, then you are good to go, but i recommend considering another manufacturer from the list of compatible brands seen in listings photos...... to give yourself the best chance for service free and reliable or long-term functionality down the road, however multiple buyers have reported perfectly successful installations of these modules being used on both functioning, and some even on previously-nonfunctioning, ryobi openers..... but i hope you can use all of this information to make a best interest decision based on your individual situation, since each person is different.
