Vintage South Bend Classic 960
This large size spin reel was made in Japan, by Ohmori. It was made from the late 60s to the mid 70s, it weighs 18.6 oz. It will hold 250 yds. of 20 lb. test. It is in excellent condition and everything works great. There is only lite paint loss on the heel, it would be close to near mint except for that. The bail, roller, drag, gears, and anti-reverse all work perfectly, the drag & gears are super smooth. This reel has a 3.5/1 gear ratio and it is a grade 9+/9+. Its a great reel to fish with, and a good quality fishing reel thats been serviced. I fish heavily with these reels, few reels today at ten times there price work as well.
The reels I sell are 98% used, and in between 20 & 100 years old. Most are far from perfect, so I some times use the Orca grading system, the first no. is how it looks and the second how it works. A 5/5 would be for parts and a 10/10 would be new.
