Coach BOBBY WINKLES 1979-1981 Chicago White Sox game used wide collar road royal blue jersey.
Size 40, #1 with tremendous use.  Jersey remains in great physical condition overall with no physical issues to be found...
It is a pull over, v-neck jersey.
Jersey is made of traditional knit material.
This jersey is labeled in the collar with
CAPITAL ACE Made in Japan
mfr. tag.  The year tag is curled from use, and, and writing on it has been obliterated from repeated washings...As well, the jersey is labeled as a 40, but, has shrunk over time, as has been reported by Bill Henderson in his Game Used Jersey Guide.
The jersey has the "
CHICAGO
" sewn across the front of the jersey in white lettering...Outlining this are marks from what likely was a nameplate that was applied to the jersey when it was recycled back to the minors after Major Leage use.
The back of the jersey has
"WINKLES"
sewn on above the large
"1"
sewn in the same material.  The appears to have been a nameplate sewn to cover up the name when the jersey was recycled to the minors for further use.
Overall the jersey has even wear...there doesn't appear to be any fading of the jersey from use in the minor leagues.
The jersey appears to be all original from the original use period, with the exception of the front and rear nameplate outline marks, which can be seen with careful study of pictures.
